Team Spotlight: Meet Rob Nichol
At 4ways, dedication, innovation and fresh thinking are highly valued, and the team is delighted to shine a spotlight on Rob Nichol, who embodies these values as our Head of IT.
Beginning his career in IT as a support apprentice, Rob moved swiftly through the ranks, working his way up to become a Senior Infrastructure Engineer. After relocating to West Wales, Rob continued his work in infrastructure, securing a position within a Port Authority, taking on a role where he was responsible for maintaining marine infrastructure.
Rob joined 4ways as Infrastructure Manager five years ago and has since been promoted to Head of IT, a position he describes as both challenging and highly rewarding.
Leading a team of 14 specialists across networking, infrastructure, clinical applications and the service desk, Rob plays a pivotal role in ensuring 4ways’ technology remains secure, resilient and future-ready. In an environment where speed, security and reliability are paramount, he oversees the technology, cybersecurity and digital infrastructure that underpin the delivery of teleradiology services across the UK.
