4ways welcomes Dr Paul Sookur

Dr Paul Sookur Headshot

4ways healthcare, the leading exclusively UK based teleradiology platform, is delighted to announce the appointment of our new MSK Clinical Lead, Dr Paul Sookur.

In his new role, Dr Sookur will be responsible for spearheading 4ways MSK reporting panel, offering invaluable experience, as well as ensuring 4ways stays abreast of all clinical developments within the field working alongside our wider Clinical Leadership Team.

Looking over Dr Sookur’s career: after graduating from UCL medical school, Dr Sookur began his career in general medicine and oncology before specialising in radiology in 2004. During his training on the Barts London Radiology scheme, he developed a keen interest in musculoskeletal imaging, inspired by a consultant who mentored him early in his career. Dr Sookur then went on to complete his subspecialist training in MSK radiology and trauma imaging, laying the foundations for his dynamic and varied clinical career.

Since qualifying as a consultant in 2009, Dr Sookur has worked across both West Middlesex and Chelsea and Westminster Hospitals, with a strong focus on MSK imaging, ultrasound-guided procedures, and patient-facing diagnostics. While his current work is largely MSK-based, he has also provided general radiology support over the years, including contributions to out-of-hours care.

During his time at West Middlesex Hospital, Dr Sookur served as Clinical Lead for Radiology for five years, playing an instrumental role in departmental leadership and service improvement, with a focus on patient experience and operational efficiency. His insight into NHS pressures and service demands aligns closely with the 4ways approach to providing high-quality, pragmatic support that understands and reflects the realities of UK healthcare.

In his role as MSK Clinical Lead at 4ways, Dr Sookur will be instrumental in shaping the strategic direction and clinical governance of our MSK reporting services. He will work closely with the wider clinical team to ensure quality and consistency across our reporting pool, develop pathways that support best practice, and act as a point of escalation for complex MSK cases. Dr Sookur will also contribute to radiologist engagement and education, supporting professional development and clinical collaboration across the service.

When asked about his new role at 4ways, Dr Sookur said “What drew me to MSK radiology was the variety — it’s a subspecialty where you get to combine reporting with real patient interaction, whether through ultrasound, injections, or hands-on procedures. I’m excited to join the 4ways Clinical Leadership Team at a time when MSK services are evolving rapidly, and I’m looking forward to contributing to a model that prioritises both clinical excellence and a deep understanding of NHS challenges.”
