4ways at UKIO 2026

4ways were delighted to attend all three days of the UK Imaging and Oncology (UKIO) conference, sponsored by AXREM. This year’s conference was held on 8th – 10th June 2026.

UKIO is an eagerly awaited event in the radiology community, and since its inception in 2019, has been a staple in the industry calendar. It’s a great chance for radiologists, radiographers, clinical leaders, and industry professionals to network, exhibit, and catch some amazing talks.

Many of you who stopped by our stand to find out more about our remote reporting services and the vital work we do here at 4ways, will have tried our delicious artisan ice cream and grabbed yourself some quality 4ways merchandise. A particular favourite for the 4ways team was the Biscoff flavour.

Delegates were lucky to have a multidisciplinary programme, including:

  • Digital technology (collaborative innovation): Debate: Autonomous AI in chest radiography – reckless or revolutionary?
  • Wellbeing: Cultural change without burnout – leading digital transformation through CLEAR conversations
  • Empowering Healthcare Professionals – the AI revolution
  • Industry: Scan smart, scan green – sustainability in modern radiology
  • Emergency & trauma: The role of the radiology department in emergencies
  • SCOR Martine Jackson Memorial Lecture: Shaping the future of cancer care – the expanding horizons of therapeutic radiography.
Teleradiology - state of the art and future challenges

A highlight for the 4ways team was Teleradiology – state of the art and future challenges.

This panel discussion, held in the afternoon of Day 2, featured insights from several teleradiology professionals, including 4ways’ own Dr Jaswinder Singh, Deputy Medical Director. The discussion centred around how teleradiology is playing an important role in supporting the NHS and their patients. Quality is at the forefront, and Dr Singh highlighted how 4ways provide high‑quality, regulated and clinically robust reporting services, delivered by the very same clinicians who also work within NHS hospitals.

The panel discussed how one of its greatest clinical advantages is the ability to allocate scans to the subspecialist best qualified to interpret that specific examination, regardless of geography – a valuable resource for the NHS.

Here at 4ways, we ensure that up to 10% of all of our scans are audited. Our over 400 UK-based radiologists are thoroughly vetted during our onboarding process, and we proudly comply with UKAAS, RCR and NHS guidelines.

The 4ways Social Event

4ways hosted a very successful afternoon event on Day 1 of UKIO, and we were pleased to see so many of you join us for drinks, canapés and great conversation. The event, held at Revolution, Liverpool, allowed everyone the chance to chat with industry professionals and form new connections in a more informal environment, without time constraints or pressures.

After an excellent three days at UKIO, the 4ways team are excited to nurture all the new partnerships and connections we made, and see what’s next for teleradiology. UKIO is a great example of medical professionals coming together to improve healthcare for all, and we, at 4ways, are excited to continue to be part of it. Thanks for joining us!
