Nuclear Medicine & PET-CT

Providing comprehensive Nuclear Medicine reporting since 2008.

We offer a wide range of nuclear services including, but not limited to:

  • Bone: whole body, local views and SPECT-CT
  • Renal: MAG3, DMSA
  • Lung: planar and SPECT VQ
  • Brain: perfusion and DaTSCANs
  • Cardiac: Myocardial perfusion imaging and MUGA
  • Endocrine: thyroid, parathyroid, octreotide
  • GI: gastric emptying, HIDA
  • PET-CT: FDG (other tracers by arrangement)

The 4ways nuclear medicine reporting services are delivered by a panel of radionuclide radiologists, nuclear medicine physicians and nuclear cardiologists all of whom are ARSAC holders.

Our panel understand both the technical aspects of image acquisition and processing (which can affect image quality) and the reporting aspects of nuclear medicine imaging  to optimise image interpretation.  All our reporting consultants are distinguished consultants, the majority of whom work at UK teaching centres.

Our services use a Mirada Medical workstation which loads DICOM images to form fully interactive images, displayed on diagnostic quality high resolution colour monitors to optimise image display. 4ways prefers, if possible, not to work from screen shots or secondary captures, and works with local departments to achieve this, particularly for volumetric acquisitions.

Clinical leadership and oversight of 4ways’ Nuclear Medicine service is provided by Dr Charlotte Fowler who is also the UK National Training Programme Director for Nuclear Medicine.
