Day Time Urgent Reporting
Urgent reporting support from 8am to 8pm everyday.
4ways offers a Day Time Urgent (DTU) service which runs between 8am and 8pm, 7 days a week, providing you with a flexible pay as you go service that helps you to better manage your resources.
DTU can help you find the right balance of in-house and out-sourced services, as well as alleviating the pressures of staff shortages, bed blocking, and multi-casualty incidents.
Our urgent daytime reporting gives you immediate access to UK based, GMC registered, FRCR consultant radiologists experienced in emergency care.
We are also one of the only UK providers to offer a free triage and double read for poly-trauma work as well as free follow up and next day consultation. This ensures your staff get the best level of immediate and ongoing support from the moment they need it.
As for turnaround times (TAT), we report in 30 minutes or less for critical/stroke reporting, and 60 minutes or less for multi-body part or other urgent reporting. Our current average TAT for stroke cases is just 17 minutes*.
Like all our services, we audit at a rate of 10% or more for CT and MRI and 2% or more for plain film.
* As of Q4 2019
Urgent care just a phone call away
In an emergency, radiologist availability can make all the difference to the outcome for your patient.
Our DTU service gives you immediate access to our extensive panel of experienced radiologists giving you the peace of mind that your turnaround times or reporting quality don’t need to suffer when your department is stretched.
And unlike some providers, we never outsource your reporting overseas. All our radiologists are UK based, GMC registered consultants experienced in emergency care and the nuances of NHS reporting.
“4ways’ Daytime Urgent MRI reporting service has had a notable impact on both the management of inpatients through the MRI service and bed flow within the organisation. The positive impact on the availability of stroke beds was noted by our colleagues in Medicine and Emergency care.”
