Clinical Governance Manager

Everyday, 4ways Healthcare helps the NHS to save lives. Our UK wide team of Consultant Radiologists provide time critical reports for nearly a million scans a year.

We are looking for a Clinical Governance Manager to support the development and implementation of the 4ways Clinical Governance framework and develop/evolve existing processes to influence measure and evidence continuous quality improvement and assurance, working in support of internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • End to end complaint handling facilitation, liaising with clients, Radiologists and 4ways Clinical leads/auditors – requiring an understanding of NHS practices around errors, investigations, serious untoward incidents (SUIs), Duty of Candour
  • Supporting investigations and identifying route causes and opportunities for organisational learning and further Quality Improvement.
  • Communication with Radiologists, clients, external bodies and interdepartmentally, both verbally and in writing
  • Assist in the maintenance of quality records, policies, processes, and logs
  • Monitoring of clinical activity output to ensure a safe and effective service
  • Supporting occasional Medical Negligence processes
  • Supporting the maintenance of 4ways accreditations, including compliance with CQC regulations, ISO9001 & UKAS, demonstrating an existing understanding of the UK healthcare regulatory landscape/CQC
  • Support the Head of Clinical Governance in monitoring company policies for health and safety
  • To comply with Health and Safety requirements in the office for you and others and to report accidents and near misses as required by the company policy.
  • Data/Report collation and presentation preparation
  • Team leadership, including mentoring, regular one to ones and training
  • To accurately undertake general administration and record keeping as required

Experience & Skills required:

  • Previous experience of clinical/healthcare governance management EG: GP practice manager, radiology/healthcare manager desirable
  • Proven ability in an IT and systems (processes) awareness role
  • Complaint handling and issuing complaint responses
  • Previous experience of working in a healthcare environment/industry desirable
  • Evidence of effective people management and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
