Professor Sobhan Vinjamuri 

International Business Lead

As an expert in Diagnostic and Therapeutic Nuclear Medicine and PET-CT, Professor Vinjamuri leads one of the largest Nuclear Medicine Departments in the UK, at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital. 

Professor Vinjamuri is the Clinical Audit Lead for his Trust, leads the Radionuclide Brain Imaging Service for Dementia and he is an ARSAC licence holder. 

Qualifying in Medicine in 1991, Professor Vinjamuri gained the Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) in Nuclear Medicine in 1998. Becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in 2004, he was conferred with his Honorary Professorship in Nuclear Medicine by the University of Liverpool in 2012. Professor Vinjamuri was the President of the British Nuclear Medicine Society between 2016 and 2018, Chairman of the Liverpool Research Ethics Committee and Editor-in-Chief of Nuclear Medicine Communications. 

Professor Vinjamuri is highly respected international expert in radiation training and as a well-regarded Auditor; he has served internationally on behalf of the International Atomic Energy Agency. Publishing widely, he is heavily involved in clinical research and teaching but also has a strong interest in international practice, particularly in audit services.
